Minnesota-based attorney Erick Kaardal, a lawyer who has won 62 election integrity cases – giving him the best record of virtually any lawyer across the country in fighting back against deep-rooted Democrat lawfare – announced that conservatives are enjoying victory over liberals in recently concluded lawsuits.
While speaking to a group of influential election integrity activists in Detroit on the eve of the large Turning Point Action People’s Convention, Kaardal said: “You are winning. You are in the game,” adding that election integrity activists are like an “armada fighting asymmetrical warfare,” who are learning by working on different projects and more effective with each battle.
The attorney cited successful cases such as Irving Township Deputy Clerk Shelly Lake’s lawsuit to obtain lists of past qualified voters from other townships. He also mentioned the Republican National Committee’s (RNC) successful challenge of Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson on the issue of signature verification.
Moreover, 28 states have enacted bans on private money funding election infrastructure also known as “Zuckerbucks.” Several state lawmaking bodies are also filing cases to regain their power in administering elections from the federal executive branch.
Kaardal explained that the left’s dominance of the administrative state has caused Republicans difficulty in winning over the years. Now, Republicans are finally overcoming these obstacles. He thinks now is the best time to “win some more” so they can prevent a stolen election this November.
“We have to ensure that government is following the laws of the people, but if we don’t, the government is going to impose its culture and its whims on us,” Kaardal said. “We need to figure out how to send a message to the government to get the results we need.”
However, he advised them to be careful and do so with the best messaging that will not allow the system to easily dismiss these lawsuits.
On June 14, the RNC launched a swing state initiative that would mobilize thousands of polling place monitors, poll workers and attorneys to serve as “election integrity” watchdogs in November.
According to the GOP’s principal campaign and fund-raising organization, the plan will help voters have faith in the electoral process and ensure their votes matter. This new effort will focus on stopping “Democrat attempts to circumvent the rules.” The party will deploy monitors to observe every step of the election process, create hotlines for poll watchers to report perceived problems and escalate those issues by taking legal action.
As per RNC Chairman Michael Whatley, the committee will place election integrity directors in 15 states, including the most hotly contested battlegrounds and work with state parties to set up similar programs in the other states. They are hoping to recruit 100,000 volunteers.
“What we need to ensure is integrity in our electoral process,” said Lara Trump, daughter-in-law of former President Donald Trump and co-chair of the RNC. “We can never go back and repeat 2020, but we can learn the lessons from 2020.”
However, the move has already been receiving negative feedback from Democrats and Biden supporters. According to David Becker, a former U.S. Justice Department lawyer who serves as executive director of the Center for Election Innovation and Research, the effort is being implemented in a way that could present broader concerns should it evolve beyond normal political party organizing.
“To do it in a way that feeds your voters with the idea that the election is going to be stolen, that prepares them to be angry if their candidate loses, that can be very dangerous,” Becker said.
